Show the Long Trail Some Love!

Long Trail Day is GMC’s annual community fundraiser and celebration of all things hiking. We are inviting Vermonters and visitors alike to take a hike (solo or with a group) and support the trail by raising $1 per mile of the 272-mile Long Trail.

The Long Trail - pick your favorite section or side trail! Join GMC sections for groups hikes and trail magic throughout the state or celebrate with GMC staff at Barnes Camp for trail magic and guided hikes.

Why:

The Green Mountain Club maintains the condition of 500 miles of hiking trail in Vermont, including the Long Trail, and backcountry facilities to make hiking in Vermont safe and enjoyable. We also staff to provide education along the way. We work hard to ensure all hikers can experience firsthand the natural beauty and scenic vistas of the Green Mountains of Vermont.

The funds you raise will go directly to support GMC's work to maintain the Long Trail System for current and future generations of hikers and recreationists.
